INFLUENCE OF PROACTIVE PERSONALITY ON JOB PERFORMANCE OF BANK EMPLOYEES IN PAKISTAN: WORK ENGAGEMENT AS A MEDIATOR

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the proactive personality Pakistani bank employees influenced their job performance. With awareness importance performance in banking sector Pakistan, researchers also examined mediating role work engagement relationship between and A total 315 responses were obtained from officers test performance, examine mechanism via engagement. analyzed respondents’ demographic profiles SPSS version 23 developed several hypotheses through structural equation modelling technique which tested SmartPLS 3. findings showed a significant positive three dimensions performance: task individual- directed citizenship behavior (OCBI), organizational-directed (OCBO). results supported main hypothesis that mediated present few useful insights HR department policymakers sector. Proactive should be considered as one necessary dispositions evaluated hiring decisions. Bank management devote more attention on its related factors boost employees’ at work.
